    The train was originally run by LNER on the East Coast Main Line from Kings Cross to Edinburgh and later extended to Glasgow. Prior to 1928 the train ran from Kings Cross to Harrogate and was known as The Harrogate Pullman. It was extended to Glasgow in 1928 and became the Queen of Scots.
