We are renovating some apartments for holiday lets and want to fit a 'built in' music system.

We want radio (not via another device) and ability to stream via blue-tooth from guests devices.

The electrician has fitted speaker cabling to the ceiling, just need a decent 'machine' now!

Can radio come from internet streaming, or does it need to be broadcast ? Analogue or digital ?
  • There is a nice marantz all in one on the richer sounds website .
It has cd/ internet radio / dab / all you'd need is speakers.
    Ceiling speakers rock !
Internet radio comes from Ethernet cable and wifi.blutooth is essential
Tune in radio is a great app on the iPhone / android .
I would recommend you give richer sounds a call about internet radio and they'll put you right .

Either really - but I don't want to be in the situation where we are streaming radio from my phone app and I nip out to the shop leaving Mrs B in silence!

I phoned Richer Sounds - they said they couldn't help!
We will be doing holiday lets so need something built in preferably.

Yes - sorry, I meant that the guests could bring their own music on their 'device' and stream it to our system ...

Sorry I am not still completely sure, but assuming the guests supply any kind of music sources, typically from their mobile via Bluetooth, then what you need is Bluetooth speakers only?

Alternatively you can connect a Bluetooth Receiver to a conventional HIFI as well.
I use the below, Bluetooth 4.0 is OK for this purpose, I think.

I am pretty sure guests would appreciate having wifi in the property rather than a bluetooth sound system

Sorry, I need a fixed (built in) unit, not portable.
Possibly concerned about it not being there when the next guests arrive!
