Free Personal Finance Software

Can someone recommend free easy to use personal finance software that is tailored towards the UK or can at least be. I am both familiar with Microsoft Money and Quicken but these are now obsolete, so am looking at something newer. It would be used on a Windows 10 machine.

Many thanks in advance.
Rob

GNUCash. It is free, but powerful.

It is basically a fully-featured accounts system that can have multiple accounts, departments, users and even link to EPOS machines running GNUPOS.

It does use double entry for it's accounting side, but as you ahve used MS Money and Intuit Quicken this should not be an issue.

What do you think is obselete about MS Money? I' happily using it on a Windows 10 PC, having used it on every machine I've owned since I had to stop using Quicken.

MS Money still works for me (surprisingly) on Windows 7 and has for some years. I believe peeps are also running it under Windows 10 as well. There is a "Sunset" edition still available I have found whilst researching for newer/better financial software.

MSMoney works fine on the very latest Windows10. I suggest you dont go for the Sunset edition as it's the US version. The final UK version is available here.

The share/fund prices download facility in UKMoney 2005 no longer works. However there is an excellent replacement available from Gaiersoft.

I'd respectfully disagree with Linton. The link provided seems to be for patches to MSMoney, although there may be a full version download in there somewhere. However, I am using the Sunset edition, downloaded from Microsoft, and it works fine for transactions in sterling (there may be issues with online interaction with UK FIs but I don't use those anyway).

Sunset edition is available here https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/download/details.aspx?id=20738
