GWD Forestry Investment

Hi everybody,
First of all, I am a french speaker so the way I express my thinking my be funny. Please excuse me.
I am new here and also have problems with GWD Forestry. I went to Palma de Mallorca 3-4 days ago and visited both, there old and new offices. The old office is for sale or rent. There is still a small sticker by the knob to ring to door bell but the office seems to be empty.
The new office, in which they moved in some months ago, seems very quiet for a business office. I showed up around 12:30 and there was nobody. I went for lunch and come back abour 45 minutes later. Nobody. I waited in front of the door until 18:25 and nobody came. It was a Thursday.
I read on this blog somebody received a word saying the CEO had passed away. I received that mail too. However, since a year an a half I had 3 (if not 4) different account managers. One was a guy from England (don't know if I can write his name here) and needed time to returns mails as he was doing the job of others accounts managers (yes, plurial) who had left the company (including MY account manager). On top of that, he had to take care of his mom who was having Chimio (for a cancer) so he had very little time to answer mails. He was asking to be patient and not to send to many mails...
Is there something going on to suit them? I might be interested.0 -
I would say you've lost your money and everything else is "a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing."0

Has anybody been approached by Insolvency Services organisations re GWD. They claim that they have obtained limited information regarding GWDs clients. They are requesting further details from clients.

I would have thought if they were legit they would have all information about you that GWD had on you. Sounds very scammy to me.0

Second part sounds like they are proposing to exit-scam by exchanging worthless forestry plots for worthless shares in a worthless company.
Correct me if I am wrong.
How long before they start asking for money to cover "fees" /"admin" / whatever“It is difficult to get a man to understand something, when his salary depends on his not understanding it.” --Upton Sinclair0 -
HI, I invested in 2016. I read a forum and of course I'm not happy. I've got a phone call from Tao Feng Associates. They want to make me an offer for invested money. Does anybody else received the similar phone call?0

Tao Feng Associates is almost certainly a scam, and the answer to your question is "very probably". If this thread is any guide the investments have been worthless for years.
(No evidence has been presented of anyone successfully exchanging their investment for money or money's worth despite the administrators of the scheme blithering on about independent valuations a few years ago.)
This could be the scam outfit that the original scammers sold the client list to in October.
By all means reply if you want to make certain, but as soon as they ask you for money for "legal fees" or similar you know it's a scam. The way buying an asset from an investor works is that they give you money, you don't give them money.0 -
Tao Feng Associates say on their web "We are proud to be one of Asia’s largest Strategy Consulting firms".
However the web site was only registered 3 months ago, their address in Hong Kong is a place that offers virtual offices, and there are no other references to them on Google.
The scam alarm bell is ringing.0 -
Thanks for answers. Thus I should wait or what? Does anybody else in this forum received the same phone call??0

What you should do is change your phone number as GWD Forestry have openly stated you are on a suckers list, and you are highly vulnerable to losing money again in further scams.Does anybody else in this forum received the same phone call??
While it is possible that some of the GWD investors from earlier in this thread might return, it is unlikely because people who have lost their money in scams tend not to hang around Savings and Investments forums for advice on how to invest their no money.
If you are waiting for someone to turn up and say "Yes, Tao Feng Associates is totally legit and when they asked me for £2,000 it was the best money I ever spent because I got all my money back" then you are out of luck because we will all hit the Spam and Report buttons to stop others falling victim to fraud recovery fraud.0
