Halifax Clarity

Options
Just applied on line for a Halifax bank account (£125 to switch) and thought id try my luck with the Halfiax Clarity card.

Seems application was successful with a fairly low limit (£1000 and 25.9% APR which im fine with) however it said right at the end of the final page "Assuming you pass our final checks your card will be sent in the next few days".

Anyone know if this is standard stuff...always had either fail/refer or pass in the past never assuming you pass final checks.

Hope this goes through as its a back up to my new Metro account which ive just opened for Holiday in Portugal.

It's standard, if you're referred, which you have been.

Yes that the plan and only for the holiday if its even used.
  • Well ive got to say Well Done Halifax...just called them as really curious as to if ive been approved or not.

Spoke to a very very helpful chap who actually pulled up the application and said yes your approved, final checks are just formality and assuming you dont go applying for loads of credit, the limit offer and apr in application will be that you receive.

Had a general chat about the card and what it offers along with just everyday stuff, just over 20 mins...maybe just happen on a proper nice employee or Halifax have a great team.

Either way big thumbs up...great start.
