I have Samsung Ace8530i in which I want to disable the camera. I need this phone at work where camera is not allowed.
I searched on few sites and got advice to CameraLes app from play store. Unfortunately mine is a old version phone which doesnt allow me to download.
Any clever thoughts
Appreciate your help very much:o

Ask 'work' for advice on what is acceptable to them. With that rule, if someone came to me with a phone running an app disabling the camera, I'd confiscate it... It would be a matter of seconds for a user to re-enable the camera.

Just for argument sake , .....is there an option to disable the camera or not?0 -
Dont believe their is a user option to disable without delving into system root .
But a Google search may throw up more options likewise xda forums .0 -
There are several options to launch the camera though, camera button, apps and video calling.
You could root the phone and delete stuff, but it may impact the device more than you think. And physically it still contains a camera so you maybe in trouble still.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
Jab a screwdriver in the camera lens until it no longer works.
That would probably satisfy Rodders53 too.

Disconnect the camera connector (and /or remove camera lens itself).
