As does Barclays, according to this recent thread: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/56952310 -
It's still good value IF you use the "perks". If not, as in my case, waste of time.
I'm all for people leaving banks when they increase charges or lower rates, if we didn't where is the incentive for banks to offer better terms? Sticking loyally with them is what got us in this position in the first place.0 -
What would happen if you just emptied your FP ac leaving no money for the fee?0

then you would incur overdraft charges either authorised or unauthorised depending on your limit.
not sure why you would do this, just close the account if you don't want it.

Have to say, only Halifax also offers EUROPEAN breakdown cover, which is a huge bonus for me. Perks definitely are worth it... and the price hasn't changed in years, some don't understand the complaints about busting inflation.
I don't know if it's changed recently but from: https://www.halifax.co.uk/bankaccounts/current-accounts/ultimate-reward-current-account/#benefits
Provides cover within the UK, Channel Islands and Isle of Man0 -

Ouch, meant Co-op, sorry.
My post was badly written, it meant to show that Nationwide are unusual in offering such good cover. Flexplus is the best value still, despite the increase.0 -
Can anyone tell me about the extra year warranty which they have taken away?
The qualifying products I purchased in say June no longer have the warranty. I WOULD have thought it would apply to future purchases not existing ones?0
