Also, do i have to mention that i have spoken to the store manager (including his name) in this appeal?

I would. Tell them that you have complained to McD's and the Manager wants the PCN cancelled.

One last question, am i right by filling the signature as how the letter was addressed to?
Yes, the person who was sent the PCN.

I went to MET online to try and submit my appeal and once i have inputted all the details, i saw the outstanding is £0.00. Does that mean they have dropped my PCN? If so, do i still have to submit an appeal?

    Looks encouraging.

Email MET and ask them to confirm by reply that, given the McD's manager wants the charge cancelled, they confirm cancellation.

Send the email, cc to the McD's manager, so that it shows in the address bar. If you don't have the McD's manager's email, just mark the email to MET - highly visible - 'cc to J Bloggs, Manager, McD's XTown'

Yay! Seems it's been cancelled! But check, as advised by Umkomaas.

Good stuff, proving the efficacy of the complaint to the landowner/retailer (or whoever engaged the PPC); they all have the ability to cancel tickets if they're prepared to select the correct gear to engage their rectums!
