HI All
There was no messing about from EDF they literally only made me eligible for smart meters as there were no appointments for months to install a electric meter, and I wanted both gas and electric changing over if possible.
They actually when I first rang advised me that I could have a normal gas meter installed within 2 weeks, but had no availability for a electric meter even 6 months in advance and would constantly have to ring up and hope I get lucky with a appointment cancellation.
I have EDF installing the meters in 3 weeks time, so thank you everyone for the advice and replies, it is greatly appreciated.
