to be honest, i am too tight to pay to recieve HD content.

I do not have, or intend to get any games console or dvd player capable of playing HD content

so when i bought my TV recently, i went for a non HD version.
Never put off till tomorrow what you can do today!
Cos if you do it today and like it...You can do it again tomorrow.. :p

There isn't much HD content available so unless you want a subscription service or specific content I wouldn't bother. By the time HD comes to the masses HD tv will have moved on anyway.

I got a Panasonic TX32LXD70 tv at the weekend and the picture quaility on most programmes received through an aerial is great and, in some instances, better than my old 5 year old Panasonic CRT tv. Very easy to set up and use which I have found a feature of this brand.

The LXD70 range is 100Hz which helps with fast moving pictures.

I don't think you are but don't get confused between digital switchover and high definition (HD)

See this site for details of the BBC trial and more about what you need to receive it
