Trying to cancel CPP

Last year I opened an Alliance and Leicester Account and when i rang to activate my cards, got asked to look at some info on CPP, said I'd read it, but never signed anything or agreed to take it on. Now 12 months later I've had a renewal for it and i rang to cancel it, but as it's in my DH name they won't let me do it, (said its an inactivated account too, whatever that means) yet he knows nothing about it at all. He didn't sign any paper work and its in his name as he was first on the bank account. Told them this, but they said he must have agreed to the policy or it would not exist, can't take a policy out in someone else's name! Also they haven't even got his name right on the policy, surely this invalidates it. I know I've never had anything other than information from them, until the renewal and that I didn't agree to start the policy and as its only me that deals with the money side of stuff I know DH would not of agreed either. Do you think its possible to get my money back from last year that I paid for this service as well as to cancel my account.

Did DH or yourself not notice the premium taken off he account last year?

If you did not query it then I can't see how they would refund you for last year's premium now.
