:eek: Please help - how do I get rid of bird poo that is on our porch roof - it has turned a nasty rust colour, any ideas can I make up a solution with bi-carb of soda, white vinegar etc - does anyone know of something that works, any advice is much appreciated cheers x

The roof is made of tiles they are redland 49 if that helps, not sure what its made of pottery maybe? We might be able to stand on the roof of the van to clean up or from the window above.x....YOU LEARN SOMETHING NEW EVERY DAY

I wouldn't use bicarbonate and vinegar together. One's acidic and the other is alkaline, so they'll just react together
Bird poo is alkaline, so vinegar will probably be best to neutralise it.
I'd cover the poo in old cloths and soak them with water. This would help to soften it and make it easier to remove.
