We are moving 250 miles and have quotes around the £2500 mark. It's a 3 day move, and I don't think the size of van has too much of an impact on the cost. So yours sounds about right.0

We moved 200 miles or so, in 2015, and fully packed we paid £2300. From Nottinghamshire to Kent. This was a national company, only one single sized bed we actually moved as we bought a new one down here.
I think the quote assumed that they would need to have at least 3 men staying over in Kent, but once the guys (about 5 of them in Notts) loaded up the truck they felt that they could do the job just 2 of them, which is what happened in the end. If I were so inclined I think we should've had a discount but my move was funded by my work so we didn't question it; if it were our own money I think I would've had something to say!
They started at 7am. I can't remember what time we got to Kent but they started unloading that night and managed to give us a workable living room, then finished off the extras in the morning.0
