Hello,
My dear mother is after an upgrade to her current tv setup so we went out and bought her a new 43" ultra 4k Samsung tv
However she likes to record her programs whilst at work so she currently uses an old TalkTalk Huawei DN372T box, I believe this is already HD but my question is is there a freeview box with recorder which will give a better picture or is it down to the actual channels rather than the freebox itself?
I've found the BT Youview DTR-T4000 which looks to be UHD?
She doesn't want a subscription and lives in a flat so don't want to go down the sky route
Thank you

The BT Youview DTR-T4000 requires BT Infinty BB to get 4K UHD programming on only one channel currently which currently shows sports at the moment, currently only hockey and football are scheduled and it is a subscription channel.
The TalkTalk Huawei DN372T box should be fine for the HD channels where available.0 -

BT Broadband customers can get the 4K box circa £60 even if they do not subscribe to 4K .0

Keep the HD box (if it is) and let the TV upscale it to 4K.
4K content is still very thin on the ground, especially free content.0
