this is supposed to be a money saving expert forum so I would have thought that not wasting money on a house that is impractical or badly designed would fall into that category.
For the benefit of other money-savers concerned about avoiding a house which is impractical or badly designed, I would recommend buying one which is already built rather than off-plan.0 -

I am moving into a new Build on the 30th of this month, with my driveway and garage quite close to neighbors front door, with the timings of your home demo etc, we are not neighbors are we?haha
I understand where you are coming from, however new build estates generally mean high curbs etc, so I would assume the speed in which they approach would be minimal.0
