    I've just found the original Sales Order Form/Contract and it states under "Additional Work" new MOT & new service, signed by dealership on 2/8/16.

    If this is the case, then the garage has clearly lied.
    To be fair, when I buy a new car, I always check the documents, service history and MOT before parting with my cash.

    Get it MOT'd pronto because you car insurance could be invalid without it.

    Not this old fallacy again?
    Whilst lack of MOT may restrict coverage for loss (damage, theft etc.) to your own vehicle, 3rd party liability is unaffected.

    Or intended to do it and forgotten, or made a mistake and tested a different car. It might not have been deliberate.

    Highly unlikely they lied. If they was gonna lie they wouldn't have been stupid enough to write it on the invoice!
    Probably just a error on their part which can be easily rectified.

    Whatever the garage did or didn't do, my first priority would be to get an MOT on the car.
    I always check mine after it's been MOT'd, just to be sure. And I trust the garage I use.

    "If" they told a porky on the MOT, I'd be more concerned about a possible porky on the service too.
    Started my job at the bottom and liked it

    MOT = £35

    I don't see the issue with it being a few months out.
