Can anyone recommend a video editing program for use with Windows Seven, free or reasonably priced. . I just need something basic. I am running Windows 7 (32 bit). I did have a Microsoft program some time ago, but seem to have lost it and can't find it anywhere on the Net.
Thanks in advance.
Thanks in advance.

Quite a few out there.
I like AVS4you, very powerful lots of file compatibility, easy to use comes as a free version of part of a whole suite of apps as a one off cost and updated 'forever'.0 -

Lightworks (by Redshark) is almost certainly the best you'll get for free, though not simple to use. Lightworks paid for is used by professional movie makers, non-pro is limited to 720p MP4 videos.“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

Windows Live Movie Maker ?
Your link (deactivated in my quote) is a direct link to the download of the wlsetup-all.exe file.
I clicked it twice thinking it wasn't working, before noticing that Chrome was now busily downloading 2 copies of the dratted file.
You should at least have given a warning that it was a direct download link.0 -

I used to use Openshot (linux) version, as this was much ligher than Windows Movie maker with my old computer.
Windows version is now available, I downloaded and installed it to my Windows 7, and seem much better than previous version.
This is a free open-source software. You may want to try it.

Try Lightworks (https://www.lwks.com/index.php?option=com_lwks&view=download&Itemid=206&tab=0)
it is the best freeware video editor out there (and then some...) - on the downside, it will take a considerable time to learm how to use it - but it matches any paid for software...
The PRO version costs money - but I have never worked out the difference !!0
