How to post pics on this site ..

Sorry for the basic question
I've done it on other forums, but not here.
I just want to be able to upload pics from my iPad on to here when appropriate .

You will need to have them in the cloud somewhere. Grab the URL of the pic, click on the square (with the mountains on it), above the comment you are typing. Enter the URL of said pic. Click OK....Job done.

Sorry to sound totally naive , but I don't know what to put in the square where it says enter URL .
I'll try in the meantime

OK, that's why you need to have a picture on a site like TinyPic.....http://tinypic.com/
Upload it there, then you will get the URL to enter....
You can't do it directly from your iPad.

on tinypic,

browse,

find pic,

upload,

enter code,

left click on Direct Link,

right click and copy,

back to message, click on and paste.

The only difficult bit is making sure you have the URL (web address) of the actual picture rather than just the page the picture is included on.
The web address of the image will likely have .jpg or .png or .gif etc at the end of it.

A good tip is to right click on the image and select "open image in new tab", then copy the address from the box at the top of the tab, and paste it into the image posting box on here.
That way you can see that it's just the image you want, and the address is correct with a .jpg at the end.

You could simply right click and select "copy image address", but then you don't know what you've got until you paste it.

Tinypic also gives forum code which can be copied and pasted directly into the post text. May or may not be easier. It is what I tend to do using a laptop. I don't do anything more complex that simple posts or email relies when using a tablet device.
