a friend of mine used a company to search for ppi five years ago, the company came back and said there was no ppi.Now one of the banks my friend had loans with has come forward and said there is ppi owed to him. The company he used five years ago, who originally said that they could not find any ppi have now contacted him stating that he is obliged to pay there fee. How does he stand ?
