Ikea lights why such low wattage?

We really want to have edison bulbs (those old fashioned looking ones).

IKEA only sell LED lights these days. Wattage is the amount of electric that something uses. These days it can't be relied upon to judge light output. You need to look at lumens for light output.

I was just worried about overlamping, reading how it can be pretty dangerous.
