Extra Energy Billing problems
Wonder if anyone else has had billing problems with extra energy. Last Month after failing to see any meter readings appear on my customer account, I called but it still took three attempts to get the reading registered. My bill was calculated and I owed them £11 which I paid. then a bill was produced and all of a sudden I was in debt to them for £474!! monthly DD up from £60 to £175!!
Called and submitted another reading, I had used just over 500wh/h since and now I owe less but still facing a DD of £165. I wonder if I am liable to pay this since I was told I only owed them £11 last month. Anyone else have this and what did you do?

Oh you are so last month.
It's Iresa guys creating new user accounts to moan about this month
Anyway, this MSE article covers the issues you describe (except being required to immediately pay a balance debit when you are already paying monthly by DD)
