How to increase eBay sales....

So, I'm selling off some of my clothes. Some I never wore, some I hardly wore. Best High |St labels but not designer labels. A number of leather jackets, wool jumpers, party dresses, sports clothing, etc.
I'm gonna try out gsp and wonder whether anyone has had success in selling clothes overseas?
Also, eBay just blocked me from using their gsp on a Barbour item. I checked the categories of "restricted items" and can't figure out why...?

I rarely sell any high street stuff overseas - postage costs put people off unless it is a designer label in excellent condition, with tags. Dunhill or Hackett sell more or less immediately; run of the mill stuff like Next, Gap attract little overseas interest.
Ask CS why your item was blocked - there are times when you'll merely drive yourself mad trying to figure it out yourself!0 -

As per your other thread, is the stuff you are trying to sell actually selling for anyone? Have you checked sold listings on ebay? Basic high street brand clothes is a difficult market, postage costs etc mean it is often far too expensive to buy on ebay when it is simpler to just go and buy new from the many discounters out there.
I do quite well with GSP and have several sales a week through it, but I don't do clothes due to it being a difficult market to sell in and with people wanting returns- not a very profitable one.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Woolly jumpers and leather jackets may not be selling due to the heat we have been having0

Its a very tough market & you need to make yourself stand out.
If they're the sexy type of clothing, you could always model them to create that type of listing for the alternative eBay market.
There is a seller called KittyLongLegs whom used to sell well worn shoes & made a fortune over the last 10years & she still models all her clothes0
