Yeah but, hiding in other countries embassies has been honourable and necessary in the past.
The East Germans who invaded foreign West German embassies to claim asylum, the Americans who hid in the Canadian Embassy in Tehran, and all the western diplomats who hid in the Albanian embassy during the Cultural Revolution, never mind the liberalising Hungarian premier Nagy who hid in the Yugoslav embassy in 1956 until they shamefully handed him over for execution by the new regime.
This isn't a positive step, unless May tells the US to keep their hands off, which she did before, in the Gary McKinnon case.
Yes.
Also, the problem is, if I understand correctly, that there are two issues here.
Firstly, the business of the alleged rape in Sweden. Maybe there are grounds for extraditing him to Sweden.
Secondly, the Wikileaks thing. With that, we get into the whole freedom of speech thing, freedom of the press, etc. etc. which is a much murkier pool, and fraught with problems.
The two issues appear to be separate and should not, possibly, be conflated. Neither should the fact that he appears to be a slimy, inconsiderate individual cloud the rather dangerous possibility of whistle-blowers being jailed.
I don't know all the details, but am just a bit afraid that kow-towing to the U.S. on this issue might be step too far, and might even be a bargaining ploy by the US for some post-Brexit trade, despite Trump's protestation of ignorance in the matter. Shudder!

Joe has discovered the thermostat dial and what to do with it to make it produce more heat, I've discovered Joe has discovered the thermostat dial and how to use it (because it's like a blooming sauna in here!)....battle has commenced over said thermostat dial.We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.

Well, according to the Daily Mail, he had to be reminded to do his washing up. On the other hand, he also smeared excrement on occasion. It's funny how they mix the trivial with the non-trivial and give them equal weight.
Edit: Assange, not Joe, just in case there's any doubt. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -

I've told him to stop being a wuss, it's April and not December. We made it! In all seriousness, welcome home Joe.Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

Joe decided that because Felix (his main desktop PC) is too heavy and big to bring home in the shorter holidays and his MacBook not man enough to do his uni work on when at home, that he would build a smaller but still powerful short holiday PC.
Mum and dad were most impressed, we arrived at theirs at around 6 on Thursday with bits which had been delivered to mine to go with bits delivered to theirs and some Joe had brought back from uni which had been removed from Felix when he did upgrades and we left by 8 with a fully built and working powerful gaming PC.

I remember someone called their PC Gordon, as in Gordon the big engine from Thomas the Tank Engine.
It's strange that Joe needs a gaming PC to do his uni work on.No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0
