Debate House Prices
In order to help keep the Forum a useful, safe and friendly place for our users, discussions around non MoneySaving matters are no longer permitted. This includes wider debates about general house prices, the economy and politics. As a result, we have taken the decision to keep this board permanently closed, but it remains viewable for users who may find some useful information in it. Thank you for your understanding.

Eh? Why would that happen? There weren't any arguments.
I think it's mainly Pastures. But I might go back and do a bit too when get time and energy.
Do you have to request that the old thread is closed, Maggie?
I think we just leave it as it is - people will see the link to the new thread. I never requested old thread to be officially closed. Will see if there's action on it months down the line anyway as I never delete threads I've subscribed to!:rotfl:

Several of the old threads are still open and we're not particularly bothered.;)There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0 -

I have the keys and can lock the old thread if it gets confusing. We do actually have some members who openly admit being not nice sometimes, but we accept them as long as they behave nicely while on the thread! You're welcome here, anyway. :hello:

Some posters are careful about leaving a trail on the internet long term. I can't work out whether they are extremely wise, or somewhat paranoid. Or both!
Thanks for the brilliant new thread. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -

I did at one stage consider going back and deleting. Then realised how much drivel I'd posted over the years and decided life was far too short. I shall spend the time accumulated on nice things instead. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

I've never understood why people delete posts long after we have moved on from that page. I've also never seen it happen on any other thread or any other forum.
Presumably the deleters are well aware that nothing totally disappears and it's all on the internet somewhere, even if it is not visible to peeps casually reading back.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards.
