Texecom Premier Elite 24 - Developed Fault?

Good morning everyone,

My texecom alarm is suddenly playing up - no siren from bell-box and I'm hoping someone on here can help me figure out where the issue is.

I left home after activating the alarm using the keyfob/keypad in the hallway. When I've re-entered the house, one of my kids ran into the living room and activated the alarm. At this point only the keypad was sounding, but the bell-box didn't sound any siren at all.

I checked outside and can see there is certainly power in the bell-box, so the issue must be elsewhere.

My current setup is five pir-detectors, one bell-box and the alarm is wired to my pc. I have ran wintex software and it's connecting fine with the control panel.

I just need to figure out how to diagnose/test the issue on wintex (PLS Refer to below screenshots)

Can anyone please help me?

Thank you

    BUMP! Anyone?
  • You probably have bells on confirmed alarm checked.

meaning it needs 2 devices to alarm before setting bellbox off

Bellbox outside the house? Almost certainly corrosion, more specifically galvanic corrosion to soldered joints.

Thanks for your guys. It's unlikely to be corrosion as this alarm was installed less than 6 months ago. I'll tell you what is very strange though....

I did a test several times yesterday, by arming and then waiting a minute or two. I then walked deliberately through all the pir detectors and each time it was perfect and the bell box sounded fine.

However I then went out and armed the alarm. When I came back home after a few hours, I deliberately walked into a pir detector, but this time only the keypad/control panel alarm activated, but not the bell box.

I have wintex and that seems to connect fine, so are there any status/settings which I could check to make sure everything is working fine? Can you recommend anything else?

If you take a look at the screenshots of wintex I posted in the first post, there are a few errors it's showing, such as SYSTEM OPEN, UDL ACTIVE, COM 1 POWER ON. Also one of the pictures shows a few errors for "Com300 output" - Could these be the cause?

I'm following this thread with interest because I have a similar problem with my texecom alarm.

How does the OP access the log?
