Neighbours scaffolding in my boundary

When I came home yesterday I found the new neighbor yesterday has scaffolding erected around his house (we are both detached houses).
One of his scaffolding poles extends over the boundary fence right next to our conservatory - should I be concerned? They did not ask for any permission of pre-warning? Also they must have knocked off a fence panel when they did this.
Our conservatory roof (plastic roof) is probably just 2-3 metres from the scaffolding, I am bit concerned any debris does not hit our roof or block our gutters.
This is a new neighbour who only moved in last month.
What can I do?

Take photos of undamaged areas then use as evidence if needed. Sit back and relax.
When the build is nearly over, make the builders a bacon sarnie and ask them to clean your roof and gutters.0 -
Don't fall out with a new neighbour over this. It is unlikely that they 'instructed' the scaffolders to trespass on your property.
Unless it is actually interfering with your use of your property, it is probably best to just relax and worry about damage only if and when it happens.0 -

Totally agree. Thanks0 -
It would have been polite to have asked first, but access is allowed for essential maintenance.
We and both neighbours (detached houses) have had our fascias etc replaced over the last few years and, in each case, the scaffolding needed to go over the fence.
We just made sure that the scaffolding wasn't a problem - ie, one neighbour HAD to be able to close his gate to keep his dog in.0 -
Looks sorted had a good chat with them. Its not essential works, just cosmetics. But a heads up would have been appreciated.
Thanks for help.0
