Changing energy supplier - powercuts?
Does changing energy supplier effect the quality of the electricity they provide?
Reason i ask is i was with Eon for many years, cant remember the last time i had a powercut. Switched to Scottish Power as it was cheaper, and in 2 months being with them had 2 very small (lasting only a few seconds) powercuts. Can switching provider effect this or is it just a coincidence?

Suppliers do not actually supply anything to a particular home. For example, I live in the West Midlands and Western Power is responsible for dealing with all power outages etc across my region. All energy suppliers do is buy energy from the wholesale market to cover your usage which is then introduced into the grid from various points in the country.

ALL ABOUT SWITCHING
How does energy switching work?
Don't worry too much about switching. Only customer service, billing and, most importantly, prices change. The pipes, circuits, wires and actual gas and electricity flowing through your home are all the same....
