Can you have more than 2 cardholders?

Hi all,

Just after a bit of advice really. I need to know whether it is possible to have more than 2 cardholders on a credit card - especially one that gives cashback.

Situation is: My Mum, Dad and I all currently have shell fuel cards on 1 account, for ease, since my mum and I split the bill 50:50 each month. (My dad doesn't work) Don't ask how we ended up with fuel cards that are only really for businesses - it's a throw back to when my Dad had his own business.

Anyway, we are currently clocking up about 1400 miles per week (!!) between us, and I thought that if we could all share a cash back card account it would be of great benefit! Any other suggestions how to moneysave on this one greatfully received BTW! The fuel cards are not ideal as shell and the associated companies are usually more expensive than say supermarkets.

Thank you all for reading...

If you are doing that many miles, then even if you have two cashback cards, it would soon mount up. Check what the best option is by working out what you may spend in a year. Some of them pay a low rate up to £X thousand, then a higher rate. Some do the reverse and pay a high rate up to a limit, then a lower rate. If the go for the first, then obviously all be on one account. If you go for the second, you want one each.

The majority of the credit card companies I have worked with will let you have up to an additional 3 cardholders on an account, meaning 4 cardholders in total, this includes the LTS Airmiles Duo cards, meaning one accoutn could end up with 8 different cards :O
