Are gift cards covered by eBay buyer protection?

I'm thinking of buying, but would I be covered if there was a problem?

Ebay do. Paypal don't. As long as you don't pay as a guest on Ebay they will cover you.

It also has to be a tangible card rather than a code, Ebay will cover you.

Paypal does not offer buyer protection for gift cards.
