MBNA have just removed their American Airlines AMEX/VISA duo card and replaced it with a VISA only card.
Earning rate is very good, but there is a £70 annual fee.
With TSB, Barlcaycard and now MBNA starting to remove their AMEX cards, I'd assume it wont be long until Lloyds scrap their Avios AMEX card.

Looks like a decent card. Makes me wonder what they'll do with those of us who hold the existing cards.
MBNA are happy for me to keep my AA and Etihad cards despite living abroad, but I obviously can't apply for the new one - anyone know whether we're likely to be migrated, or whether they'll just drop the Amex and keep the Visa as is? I've not had any communications, so interested to hear if anyone else has.
There's no AA credit card here, so I'm keep to keep hold of it!0 -

LBG may also have a different policy regarding overseas credit card holders to Bank of America. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0
