I've only had 2 'proper' jobs - the Armed Forces and Local Government.

I had to produce my 'O' level certficates for both of them, even though only the Local Government post was subject to a minimum of 5 'O' levels (or whatever they're called now).

I've never been asked to provide qualification details either. I left college over 30 years ago and have no idea where my certificates are.

    Thanks everyone.

It will just be an admin office job, but I have been in my current post 13 years since I was 22, so a bit scared if I have to start looking for another job.

I seem to have a lost a chunk of stuff that I used to keep in folders. Possibly in my loft, but not altogether sure.

My exam certs could possibly be in my parents' loft, again will probably just have to go searching.

I doubt they'll ask for proof of A levels. If you put the place you studied as a legal secretary they can always approach them directly for proof of qualifications.
