Virgin media bill

Me and my partner have recently just got our own place. I've moved out of my mum's so I'm new to everything. We decided to go with virgin media, we spoke to the manager of the shop. And he gave us a great deal, £52.00 a month, for a bundle. With the bundle came a £100 credit, and he told me that the installation fee would be knocked off and that it's not a problem. He also told me that my first bill will be around £14.00 because of the credit. I signed the contract and awaited my first bill. I rang up virgin media a couple of weeks later to ask about my first bill and change the billing date as i get paid monthly. The man on the phone told me that my first bill will be around £12 - £13. I said thank you and hung up. Yesterday I received a bill through email to say that my bill is due and that it will be £131.00!!!!! I phoned up virgin media straight away and wanted to know why i was being charged so much! They told me that it was installation fees i said that i was told i would not have to pay installation fees because of my credit. They said sorry but that's what is being shown on your account. Today I phoned them again to get some answers and i am now being told different! And that my bill has doubled over two but months and it also includes all installation fees! I was not happy and threatened to leave them. I asked to be put through to management. She was very rude and told me that she is going to be sending me a copy of my contract just to prove me wrong. I asked if I can cancel and she said that the cancellation fee will be £140!!! The bill is direct debit. And will be taking it out on the 3rd of July! So either way they are taking my money. Money that i cant afford! What do i do? Cancel the direct debit?? Or take it further because I've been told four different things?? HELPP!!
