Buyer cancelled order

Options
Sold a BIN item this morning but the buyer wanted to cancel luckily before I went off to post it.

Went through the eBay process of buyer "wanted to cancel" etc but on checking PayPal they have refunded buyer his payment less 41p fee reversal. Is this right?

Also, in "my eBay" the said item is cancelled and everything seems OK but on the left of page it is still showing as £8.99 in red waiting for payment. Is this normal?
Sorry for the questions - first time I have cancelled!

The non returnable part of the fee used to be about 20 -25p on a full refund. I'm not sure exactly why it would be more than that. Also, the way you've worded it is a bit odd; the buyer should get a full refund which includes part of your balance and part of the fee but not the part we are talking about.

It sounds like they have refunded them in full but part of the refund was the PayPal fees that would have been charged you, had it not been refunded.

Yes and the fee is 20p for a normal Paypal account.

The Cancelled item says "Completed" on everything but is still showing as £8.99 to be paid in red on the left side of my eBay That was the original cost plus an extra £3 P&P.
Do I have to do anything else? (read somewhere that I won't get my FVF if the buyer doesn't complete at their end)

eBay will have messaged when transaction was cancelled, it will also show as cancelled. It still will show though as awaiting funds as technically that is correct.

If you archive it, it will move from the awaiting payment section.
