Moving House and the penalties

Hi, i am brand new to any forum as i enjoy reading about peoples inciteful opinions but never have the time to write one myself UNTIL NOW..Bank charges as we all know are a disgrace even if it is instigated by your own mistake,
but to be penalised by so many services for just changing your address is ludicrous, for example B.T. says i have to start another twelve month contract and will charge me £70 if i cancel within that period so effectively chastising to their service just for changing address..WHY? Then my insurers Carole Nash who insure my motorcycle decide to charge me £30 for Admin Fees, again the only change is my address...WHY?
I wouldnt know how to send this info' to the top but Martin Lewis, Please Hear My Plea!!! more to follow....

It might pay to read the T&C on products you buy before you buy. My car insurance dont charge to change addresses, one i the things i checked before going with the cheapest.

It's not just services, they're a drop in the ocean compared with 1-4% stamp duty. That's not ludicrous it's legalised theft.

We moved recently and didn't have to start a new 12 month contract with BT. I'd call them back and make sure.

Also we had to change the address on 2 car insurance policies and a bike. They aren't always just admin charges, maybe the area you have moved to is a higher risk postcode
Bottom line is, you agreed to the T&C when taking out the policy and change of address charges would have been there.
:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:
