Hi I just recently took in a dog the problem is that this is the first time I had pet and that I'm living in a farflung town so there are no vets around so I can't have her checked out and what breed he is. I'm currently feeding him some of my food and for his exercise I have a small backyard for him to run in.
What do you think I should do?
What do you think I should do?

Where do you live? Members may be able to advise of some good local vets.
Get him insured asap.
Dog or !!!!!?
Back yard, why aren't you taking the dog on walks and why aren't you feeding dog food!0 -
Right now I'm currently in Asia I don't where this is, I'm assuming somewhere in countryside China since there is no big building, since I'm with my friends. The reason I'm not feeding him dog food is because there is no pet shops accessible. And it is a dog looks like a stray/street dog.0

You should really look for a nearby vet.
Get him the shots that he needs, make sure he eats right, get a dog tracker if you're afraid of losing him.
But main priority is obviously getting him checked up.0 -
Okay thank you very much, I can't tell you how much this helps.0

Your first step should probably be finding out where you are.0

This is probably not the right time in your life to commit to a pet, my friend.0 -

How do you not know where you live? but you have internet access? very strange post0 -
Are the schools on holiday yet?
Do your friends not know where they live?
Are you there permanently or for a short time. If not permanently what will happen to the dog when you leave?
What do you do for money and where do you buy your food if there are no shops?0 -
Would you be able to order proper dog food online? That seems like it might be important, and the dog will be happier if it's getting plenty of walks.0
