Ex fleet Van ERAC UK LTD
Options
Viewed a 2014 plate Fiat Doblo 18v Multijet today and the Registration certificate states the registered keeper to be ERAC UK LTD Aldershot.
The mileage of the van is showing just under 10,000 miles and the log book is showing no services since registration.
My experience of buying second hand cars is novice at best but how can an ex hire van only do 10,000 in 3 years and surely Enterprise would have had services done on the vehicle?

We have vans on our industrial site that'll struggle to do 1,000 miles per year - used for transporting small materials/food etc round the site0

It may well not have had a service. There's a chance it isn't due for one yet, some vans have long intervals.0

I bought a Mondeo from a Ford dealership, previous owner ERAC, one year old and 13k miles, no service history. The dealer said it was within the Ford warranty limits (12 months/12k miles at the time), did the 12k service and all was good. No issues, one of the best cars I have had. Sold it at 9 years/80k miles, running well.
I would worry about 3 years without a service, though, despite the tiny mileage. If someone is nice to you but rude to the waiter, they are not a nice person.0 -
Nothing wrong with ERAC vans. Some are on a short term hire, some long term.0

I wouldn't overly worry, given the mileage. It's missed one service on time, probably - so one oil & brake fluid change. Change 'em now. No real harm done. It's out of warranty anyway, so nothing to lose there.0
