VLS20 has no capital security and is not the lowest risk category. Anything that made 10% in a year can lose 10% in a year. And there are people out there who call themselves low risk who get scared when their portfolio goes down 2%. let alone 10%
Very true, no guarantee and the possibility of losses, but it is lower risk that some other funds and more risky than a savings account. It was offered as an example on the risk spectrum.....the year before last I think VLS20 only returned 1% or 2%.“So we beat on, boats against the current, borne back ceaselessly into the past.”0 -
