UPDATE
I was told to wait 28 days to add my d/d by a overseas call centre. I phoned back after 28 days and they did set up my d/d and it changed to the correct unit price. So far so good.

You used the energy, they have just been a little late billing you for it. You haven't given enough details to determine whether it's reasonable to ask you to pay for the energy you used, my guess is that it is.

I'd probably argue for a good will gesture, but I wouldn't expect more than £20 and it could be much less.
