Card reader ordered 7/07/17.
Anytime card received 21/07/17.
PIN and card reader awaited.
I find it very odd that some of us are receiving the PIN and reader, but not the card and others are receiving the card but not the PIN and reader. I requested on the 1st, got PIN on the 13th and reader on the 19th, but no card yet.0 -

Different departments or suppliers, I expect.
Although I'd have thought that the issue of the card and PIN would be at least co-ordinated, on the assumption that the card must know the PIN in order to be of any use.
The card reader is generic. (I have one issued by another bank, and that should work.) Somebody manufactures them. I expect banks make an order, and hold a stock that they hope will keep them going for a while.0 -
PIN and card reader received 22/07/17
So, if I ever need 'em, I've got 'em.:)
Congratulations! I was hoping my card would turn up today, but no such luck. I promised myself in not received today I'd cancel the one they're supposed to have already issued (still doubt that) so it'd kick in one actually being issued. Knowing my luck if I did that, the first one would turn up

EDIT -- Other posters have corrected me. Apparently you can withdraw to another bank. I was simply relaying what an Ulster Bank customer service worker had told me. Thanks for the correction and the good news. Very strange to hear that explicitly from customer service.
Just a word of warning on the Ulster eSaver 1.25% account. You cannot withdraw your money to a 3rd party account, i.e. a bank account not with Ulster Bank.
This account is only able to withdraw money to another Ulster Account. Meaning you have to create a current account with them, in order to withdraw anything from the savings account, if you want to be able to withdraw your money - which I presume everyone will....
Not sure if this is obvious but it went past me unnoticed. I read all the terms and conditions thoroughly before setting up my account and nowhere does it specify you can ONLY withdraw to other Ulster Bank accounts. A bit sneaky or maybe this is a well-known thing? I was looking to withdraw to my Santander current account, which most savings accounts are able to do.
It was only when I chatted to customer service afterwards that I realised this, luckily I had not transferred any money in at that point. (The customer service person said he would notify the team about the lack of specification in the T's & C's).
Other than that, I have to say the set-up was very swift and easy, while the interest and easy-access do look like a good deal. I just am not looking to create a current account with Ulster so will be putting my savings elsewhere.0 -

That doesn't make sense though if this is the case; if you need a card reader (et al) to withdraw money from the account (and if only into an Ulster Bank account), wouldn't you only need to do it online by an internal transfer, which wouldn't (normally) necessitate readers etc?

? dont know where you've got that from, I can transfer to my Santander a/c, or any other a/c I nominate. The card reader was only used once to set up the a/c.0

Nonsense.
I've been withdrawing to a Nationwide account for the past two weeks.0
