Freebies from Oak furniture land

We've recently moved home and spent around 6k in furniture from Oak furniture land. We assumed that their promo which was free accessory worth up to £300 when your purchase is worth £1500 meant that we could get 4 freebies for our new home. The salesman said that we were entitled to only one freebie of our choice but he may be able to speak to his manager and find out if we could get two extra freebies. His manager agreed on the phone and he explained to us that the two extra items will be delivered on the same day our furnitures will be delivered. On the receipt , he wrote the two lamps we wanted as the extra 2 items explaining that this was agreed with his manager and had to add it in writing as their system would only allow them to add one free item.
More than 3 weeks from ordering and 2 weeks after delivery of the furnitures, the two extra lamps haven't arrived yet. We have called twice and spoke to the salesman and he said that they were still in order and was surprised they did not arrive with the rest. Im planning to visit the store tomorrow and ask where the items are but I don't know where I stand. On one hand, I have the receipt clearly stating although handwritten that I have two extra lamps included. On the other hand they might say that it was free items and since I had taken receipt of the original free item then there is nothing else to wait for. Do I just keep waiting and following up? Thanks in advance.

Did you agree the delivery date at the time of ordering or did they call you later with a date?
Basically they have 30 days from the date the contract was entered into to deliver the goods - unless you agreed otherwise.
Also (the above is from section 28 of the Consumer Rights Act), the CRA tells us in section 26:(1)Under a contract to supply goods, the consumer is not bound to accept delivery of the goods by instalments, unless that has been agreed between the consumer and the trader.
Tbh, I'd try emailing the store - if they aren't willing to put it in writing that the lamps are on order and will be delivered, then I'd start worrying. You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride0 -
Thank you.. The delivery date was set when we made and paid for the order instore and was 2 days after our move to the new home. Have spoken in person to the salesperson we transacted originally and has said that it was in order and would give us a call once it was in their store already.
Also, does this mean that even though the items that I am waiting for are freebies as part of their ongoing promo, I have the same rights as I do if they were being bought instead?0 -

Then that date counts as the agreed date and they're already in breach of contract by not supplying (unless T&C's were given at the time of sale and say something to the effect that deliveries are estimate only).
As I said, try get it in writing - even email - from them. You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride0 -
Only two freebies??
I would have insisted on FOUR freebies or no sale!!
Anyhow... just keep phoning the shop and either asking for the freebies, or perhaps insist on a partial refund the equivalent of the actual cost of the freebies.
I would argue that the freebies were what persuaded you to buy from them, so they either need to supply them or pay you the equivalent value.
Try contacting via social media too, as if they have people saying the freebies are not turning up, they might sort it out quickly to avoid bad publicity!Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -
Too late now, but a quick look at this and other websites for posts about how OFL behave would have shone a light on what you are getting in to.
You can only keep trying, they will either do the right thing or ignore you until you get bored.0 -

Why? The OP states in their post that " promo which was free accessory worth up to £300 when your purchase is worth £1500" as in singular.Dwy galon, un dyhead,
Dwy dafod ond un iaith,
Dwy raff yn cydio’n ddolen,

So as the OP spent £6000, they could have split the purchase into four separate purchases to get four freebies!!
I have done this before in Boots and split the purchase to get multiple freebies. The shop had no issue with it, but just required separate payment as otherwise the till would not recognise the additional freebies.Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')

We did think about splitting the purchase into 4 to get 4 freebies but assumedthat it was a given spending 6k would automatically equate to such. When they said it wasnt the case, it was difficult to split the stuff we wanted into four transactions as the prices would make it impossible.0

Which would only work if each item was £1500.0
