Moved from Eon and British Gas - help
So in October we did the MSE switch and moved from Eon to British Gas. We'd previously had an Eon smart meter fitted.
When we got the bill the gas usage was huge - around £800 for a quarter. It was over the winter and we had been using the heating but only a couple of hours each night ( 3 bed newish house, 2 adults and a baby)
I disputed with them and eventually found things could be wrong as I'd been using the inside meter display to take readings, which is apparently useless after switching. They promised they'd sort it and then I didn't hear anything for a couple of months.
I chased them a couple of days ago and they gave me an updated bill. It's from October and gas charges are still around £750 and the gas is just under £300. The gas still seems ridiculously high to me and I'm going to talk further with them. Does this seem high to you? Has anyone else had problems when switching with a smart meter?

Is your bill based on actual meter readings (i.e have you checked then against the meter?)
Is your bill calculated based on the tariff you have agreed?
Or are you suspecting the meter is running fast? If so, contact your supplier for help and advce0
