Life Assurance mis-sold - can I claim?

Back in 2002 I was pressured to take on life assurance for a mortgage via financial advisers. I explained that I was still paying into an endowment from a previous mortgage and that this included life cover. They insisted I needed another one which I paid into for 10 years.
Can I claim money back on this?
Thanks.

It is three years prior to regulation.
Most people are underinsured. Did the endowment policy cover all your financial needs or did it leave a shortfall?
If you are unsure of that, then a really quick and dirty way to get an idea of the ballpark then it's around 15x income Plus the amount of any debts. Were you more than that?I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0
