My full routine (once or twice a year) is:

Wash & hose off (AG Shampoo)
    Clay
Wash & hose off (AG Shampoo)
Beer or tea, depending on temperature, while it drip-dries
    Towel dry (microfibre cloths)
    AG Super Resin Polish
    AG Extra Gloss Protection
    Clean glass
    Dress all rubber and vinyl
    Dress tyres

That takes half a day or more, and is quite hard work, but it's well worth it. It does look quite superb (this coming from someone who used to chuck a bucket of soapy water over and hope for the best), but the best thing is that it seems to shed dirt for months afterwards. It just stays clean. The extra time you spend is more than repaid in less washing (or quicker washing) later.
If someone is nice to you but rude to the waiter, they are not a nice person.
