Is this identity theft?

I'm not sure if this is the right board but I don't know where else to put it.
I got an email this morning from a company I've never heard of, and when I google, I can't find them. It was an order confirmation. It had my full name and my old address. The house number wasn't there but the rest was correct. It gave no details of this order, just a link to click for more information. I don't want to click that.
Now I'm getting paranoid about identity theft. Could anyone advise me on what to do? Am I right to be worried? I can't understand how they got all these details.

Those details would be widely available.
What is the company name?
Have you checked your credit files?0 -
The email it came from is customer feedback @ rpluim.com and the link for more info says knodetree.com.
I usually order the statutory reports once a year from the credit reference companies so I haven't checked online. I should probably sign up now.
Would someone have sold them my details?0 -
I'd just bin it. Check your files, but it looks like your normal 'click here for a free virus'.
There's a dozen ways they could have got your details.0 -
As per the above, it's just a standard attempt to get you to install some lovely viruses onto your machine - nothing as serious as ID theft.
For future reference, if you hover your mouse pointer over the link it wants you to click ( just hover over it, don't actually click ), you'll see in the status bar ( usually at the bottom of your screen ) the real web address that it's going to direct you to. Odds on you'll see that it's some sort of gobbledygook address.
Just bin it and don't worry about it.0
