A few minor PC problems

I have reinstalled Windows XP on my second hard drive as the main one crashed. My problem is that when typing a couple of the keys are in the wrong postion. The @ key is now when the " should be and visa versa.
Also the text on screen is wrong. I have adjusted my settings as they were, but text still seems big. When I reduce to smallest in IE it is good, but then, for example the links when using Google are too small to read with the info underneath the right size.
I have a Dell 18" Ultra sharp montior
Can somebody point me in the right direction for a fix please.
Cheers

Re the keyboard - sounds like you have your keyboard set to American.
try Control Panel, regional settings and set your region to UK
Someone will come along and help with your text size soon
cheers

Hi,
To fix your keyboard is a minor issue - sounds like you've selected the US English option instead of the UK English.
To fix this go to your Control Panel and select Regional & Language Options then select the Languages tab - click the details button, this will take you to the keyboard type.
You need to make EN (English United Kingdom) the default keyboard whn windows starts. If this isn't in the list use the Add option and apply.
I had a problem once where the pc kept reseting to the US keyboard so once I had the EN UK installed I removed the US one from the list.
Hope this helpsSee you on the dark side of the moon0 -
Then delete the US option, I always do.0
