Third party claim

okay my motorbike got knocked over........ hit and run got a witness and reg plates put claim in with third party..................................

thirdparty is denying liablity

first question is how long do they have to admit liablity?

i have no money at all should i take a credit hire motorbike or wait untill i get confirmation of liablity

i was going to start a new job today and now am loosing money...... whats the chance of getting any money back becuase of its agencie work its was council binmen work

also does having a witness and reg garentee liablity and claiming

    3rd party insurer will always deny liability in the first instance, before they've spoken to their client.

    Having a witness won't guarantee a win - if it goes to court etc, your witness may not want the hassle (happened to me).

    I'd be careful of the credit hire - you cold lose out if your claim fails.

    is the new job not easily accessible by bus/taxi/lift from a colleague. You could add loss of earnings, but I expect you'd have to be seen making a reasonable effort to get to work another way

    I can see op's point about getting to work, bin men start extremely early in the morning before public transport starts running so it would need to be a taxi but depots tend to be out of the way.

    As stated be careful of credit hire because if your claim fails they can technically come after you for the money.

    How damaged is the bike? Surely a bike being tipped over is not going to make it unrideable?

    basicly front forks need re-aligning front brake needs fixing fork seal on right side is leaking................... and needs repairing i am pennyless............ and do i not have to have the vehicle inspected??? im pretty sure if i dont prove to my insurnace that my bike is legitmaly repaired does this not invalidate my insurance..............

    well i only bought it the other day.... but what you say i not true only had ,mot two weeks before i bought it no advisearies....... and i checked every thing over it was okay

    i can fix the bike my self but i thought the was a leagalities to make sure bike is safe afterwards

    how do i get my bike repaired so i can drive legally use it as fast as i can with out breaking the law.........
