UCKPS fined me for not having a permit in my own bay

So this morning I sent off the letters and the emails and I got the following reply from my contact at the letting agency:
Hi xxx,
Thank you for your email
As discussed previously I am in contact with RMG and they are issuing you a permit,
I was not personally aware that xxx aparments needed permits so I apologise about this.
Once I receive this permit it I will forward it onto you and this permit can be passed over to the UKPCPS, if there is an email address on the ticket send it to me and I will forward it onto them
Thank you,
................
To which I responded:
Hi xxx,
Unfortunately I have tried myself to get an email address for UKCPS but they refuse to provide me with one, and hung up on me after saying that anything needs to be posted to their office.
I'm sure you can get their email from RMG as RMG have employed them at the premises. As I have outlined in my formal complaint, I am aware that RMG have the power to ask UKCPS to get the charge cancelled if done within 2 weeks for a small fee that I am willing to pay.
I have also sent this same letter to RMG themselves so they should be aware of this situation. Please liaise with them regarding this.
Regards,

Hi so to give you an update I got an email from my contact at the letting agency informing me that they have been in touch with building management who have refused to "interfere with the situation". I myself haven't heard back from them myself (I guess a pleb like me isn't worth responding to).
The letting agency have said that they will send a photo of my parking permit to UKCPS to appeal against the fine.
I am not sure how useful that is going to be after reading the stories posted here.
What should I do now?0 -

As you mentioned you are new to this Country, you may not be aware of how certain things work.
For now, I would knock a few doors and ask if anyone else has got a proper lease (rather than just the 'Tenancy Lease' issued by your letting agent). This will provide any evidence as to whether or not a permit really is needed to park in your space (if, indeed, the spaces are actually alloccatted to individual properties and not just common parking areas).
Once you can confirm/deny the need to display a permit, then the advice we give out on here might be different to that currently being given.Never Knowingly Understood.

With residential cases its important that you get a grip of the situation.
Lynzer on pepipoo has produced a few guides, however do not use the templates 'as is' as with all templates read them understand them and then base something of your own upon them.

Sorry i have been so swamped with work I didn't get a chance to talk to my neighbours about this.
Would it be viable idea to let my letting agency appeal to UKCPS (on my behalf it seems) as they have agreed to do, then I would get a failed appeal and probably be forced to pay £100 then sue my letting agent in small claims for initially sending me the garage remote 3 months late, and not informing me of my parking permit display obligations which caused me to lose £100?0 -
Yes, let the Letting Agent do the appeal, why not. But don't pay UKCPS when it's refused.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Thanks for your quick response coupon-mad! I had also forgotten to check my mailbox today (did it yesterday) and I have received a letter of acknowledgement from RMG at least that they will respond within 10 working days. I just hope it's not too late by then for them to cancel it...0
-
It's never too late for them to cancel it (they can tell UKCPS to ''do one'', whenever they want, and some landowners have done months down the line!) but I know some UKCPS contracts only allow early cancellation for a tenner in the first fortnight. After that the landowner might say 'can't do it', even though they still can, but it involves them paying the scumbags off for more dosh.PRIVATE 'PCN'?
