Hi all

thanks in advance.

So Ive sent off few requests to ask for a statement of account of payday loans, all of them responded pretty quick with the info.

However payday express have refused to give me an SOA and quoted the below - any ideas?

"This account currently has no sums due or payable. Therefore, we have no current obligation to provide a statement of account under Section 77 of the Consumer Credit Act as per Subsection (3) of Section 77 which states that the requirement under “Subsection (1) does not apply to – (a) an agreement under which no sum is, or will or may become payable by the debtor.”

    What ideas do you want?

They are saying you don't owe them anything. Do you feel you should pay them something?

They won't give you one because you don't owe them any money.

How else do you want me to answer?

You have asked why they won't send you an SOA.

I have told you that they won't send you an SOA because you don't owe them any money. It says so in their reply to you, which you quoted in your OP.

Which part of 'it's blindingly obvious' are you struggling to understand?

If this is relating to a complaint, you can send them an SAR (Subject Access Request), asking for all data they've held on you, which should include all loans etc.

It costs £10 to do this. https://ico.org.uk/for-the-public/personal-information/

My bad. I was following the words in your post.

If you want a SAR, ask for a SAR.

g1999 Welcome to MSE but there is no need for the attitude .

You answered your own question in your original post .
You quoted the CCA , and that was the reason why they wouldnt send you an SOA so your question didnt make sense.

Had you mentioned a subject access request then im sure zx81 would have provided you with relevent information :)

Thanks AndyPix. Your concerns about my attitude are noted. and filed away.:hello:

i dont even know what a subject access request is mate. thats why I said in my following post the ideas i was referring to was how to get a statement of account. I mentioned Statement of Account, I just wanted a list of loans I had for my records.

Stopit seemed to get the idea pretty quickly.
