It does seem as if you are being required to prove you were somewhere else ; rather than them being required to prove that during the 7 hours they claim you were there, every vehicle which went in and out of their site was properly identified.

Do any of the businesses on the site have CCTV ? They might show you moving around.

What about businesses on your route ? Not sure if police cars / traffic wardens / police officers have video, but it might be worth asking.

Geoff, CCTV is not something that can be used in private parking,
No company is going to trawl through CCTV footage looking for
a car. They would if the police believed there was a crime etc.
Bear in mind that CCTV carries it's own data protection so over
a parking ticket, nobody would be interested.

Trouble is that we know here about the double dipping scam but
the general motorist don't have a clue and until the government
ban the system as unsound, it will continue to cause problems

If you can show you were somewhere else, such as phone data from google maps or apple maps location history, and/or you have a witness to say you were somewhere else coupled with the evidence ( google it) that ANPR systems are defective and are not used by statutory authorities for that reason should give you plenty of rope to hang the PPC and the landowner that allows such defective equipment to be used by His/Her agents
    From the Plain Language Commission:

"The BPA has surely become one of the most socially dangerous organisations in the UK"

Notomob has a nice running list of "ANPR failures" including a very recent one involving a former magistrate; (post 102).

The Council web-site I copied, said they were happy to look. It will do no harm to ask.

I didn't pay and I heard nothing until a week ago when a debt recovery firm sent me a bill for about £160. I phoned them up but there was no way to talk to them they just wanted the money or to take me to court. I have until the 1st of May to pay up.
on my google locations the blue tracking line clearly shows 2 trips to PC world and also it shows that I made it from college to PC world far too quickly to have been walking ( just in case they say I parked there and walked back to college)
Would I be able to use this info in court?
Also if the court date comes on a day I cant attend what would happen then. I have a number of things on the calendar such as my graduation that I don't want to miss.
    Help please ASAP!
    Thanks....

Highview have never taken anyone to court, even when they have had a cast iron case.

I can't see them trying for the first time with a really weak case. If they did you would have a very strong defence.

All they are going to do is send threatening letters. Like a yapping dog who is too scared to bite. They will yap, yap away.

    ...

If you follow the Newbies sticky threat, there is a complete guide to the entire court process detailed in there.

You will then find that, at the Directions Questionnaire stage, you have the opportunity to put down any pre-booked dates in the following six months when you will be unavailable to attend court, so there shouldn't be any clashes.

I have been providing assistance, including Lay Representation at Court hearings (current score: won 57, lost 14), to defendants in parking cases for over 5 years. I have an LLB (Hons) degree, and have a Graduate Diploma in Civil Litigation from CILEx. However, any advice given on these forums by me is NOT formal legal advice, and I accept no liability for its accuracy.

All over this parking forum it tells you never to phone a PPC or Debt recovery company and to ignore debt recovery companies as they are powerless liars. After all the help you have received why did you not come back here first?

Ignore them unless you get real court papers which as you have been told is highly unlikely from Highview!

They are just trying to scare you as a last attempt and you fell for it!

Even if there were and you could get access, do you really think they would have recordings from what must be close to 12 months ago?
