How to do a partial refund

I sent a parcel this morning which was cheaper to send than anticipated. I would like to reimburse the seller the difference but am unsure how to go about it.
There is an option in PayPal to "issue a refund". Does this give the option to do a partial refund? I don't want to make things more complicated by inadvertently doing a full refund.
Thanks in advance!
